I’m often hesitant about seeing a movie based on a book that I have loved. Knowing that the author of the book wrote the screenplay made my decision easier.

The movie is very well done and really portrays the messages from the book – the isolation while being held captive as well as the overwhelming feelings upon their release.

Both Brie Larson (Ma) and Jacob Tremblay (Jack) were outstanding in their performances. If you liked the book you’ll love the movie.
