Afghan

I’ve had this crochet pattern for years; it was cut from a magazine probably while I was still living up North. The pattern appealed because it looked so very soft and it was done in a wash of colours. I pulled what I thought was the last of my Misty yarn (I’ve since found more) and decided to make the pattern up using yarn that I had. I had to play around quite a bit with the hook size to get it as soft as I wanted but I am pleased with the results. The variegated yarn worked well in the pattern.

When Christy and the kids were here they were going through my quilts and wall hangings and picking out some to take home. Taylor saw my almost-finished afghan and noted how soft it was (mission accomplished apparently). She didn’t ask me if she could have it but her Mum said if it wasn’t for someone in particular Taylor would really like it.

I finished the stitching (and the yarn) on the weekend and it will be off to Taylor.
