Feeling very relaxed

Friday, June 5, 2020 (Day 81)

Checkmate

I’ve no reason to feel relaxed but I’m not feeling any pressure to get anything done today.

Between meetings and errands yesterday I sorted out some of my 12″ daily blocks and put them up on the design wall – well actually down as my design wall is the floor. I looked at the layout through the camera, made a few changes and then left them. This morning I made a few changes, took a couple of photos (one black and white) and sent them off to Stacia and Deloise for their opinion. I made a few changes after that and then sent off another two shots. I’m pretty sure I’ll go with the second layout but I’ll wait until Stacia weighs in.

I was supposed to be working on my June UFO Challenge yesterday but I didn’t feel like I had enough time to really get back into it. Last night during my 100+ Women Who Care I muted my mic, turned off my camera and while I listened to the presenters I got the blocks pinned and ready to sew the first seams. This morning I stitched those seams together so when I pick it up again next week I’ll be a bit further ahead.

It was time for lunch by the time I got my daily block done. While we ate lunch we watched a TV show; the episodes are at least an hour long (sometimes longer) and it is taking a long time to get through the series. I can’t knit or stitch because of the subtitles and it felt completely decadent to be watching television in the afternoon.

But I got back to work after one show. I’ve sorted through my scraps and put them away where they belong. I thought I had enough pinwheels for two more rows on one of my scrappy projects but I don’t like some of them so I’m going to make a few more before I quit for the day.
