I just can’t do it

I was looking forward to a day at home – an entire day at home – but things just didn’t work out that way. It was my turn to make supper and I was making Potato  Leek Soup. We had the potatoes; we had the leeks; and we had the evaporated milk. What we didn’t have was any broth to put in the soup so I had to make a trip out to the grocery store.

Today was my appliqué day. I’m making good progress on these blocks now that I’m devoting one day a week to them. I need more days in the week though – one day for appliqué, one day for piecing, one day for quilting, one day for Christmas, one day for Pay It Forward, one day for my website, one day for cleaning, one day for paper work, and a couple of days for my volunteer work – you see what I mean!

I said good bye to Flat Stanley tonight as I will be sending him off to Diane (in Ontario) in tomorrow’s mail. I wish I could fit myself in the envelope so I could visit her too.
