I suspect Laurie may have at one time done some churning to make butter. I know for a fact though that his home now has the churn that we used regularly on the farm.

My card for Carol is going to be very late. Of all my cousins, she lives the furthest away from me. Since she is also the closest to la belle province I picked the Fleur-de-Lis pattern for her.

It wasn’t until a few years ago that Will and Alex filled me in on what a Champagne birthday was. I’d never heard of it before then.

This year is Alex’s Champagne Birthday and he turns into a teenager as well. I can’t even tell you how happy I am that I’ll be spending his special day with him.

I know Jackie grows a garden each year but she has never mentioned that she grows flowers. This bouquet is the kind that doesn’t take any looking after.

As Jackie celebrates her 70th I can’t help but think how much the McKnight women would have missed over the years if she hadn’t held that first get-together at the farm 20 years ago.
