In my haste to get Tracie’s card in the mail after my trip to the Lower Mainland I neglected to take a photo of the finished block but fortunately I did have a photo of the unfinished block.

This was Block 11 from The Splendid Sampler series. When I started these blocks I hesitated to do the ones that had embroidery on them. Now that we are at Block 52 (although I’m far behind) the embroidery is getting easier and I rather enjoy it.

This card, called Sweet Candy, is part of The Splendid Sampler series. I used a few different symbols to represent different types of chocolates – you know the ones that come with a legend so you can pick your favourite. Does anyone really use those? I’ve yet to meet a chocolate I didn’t like!

I hope Asher has something sweet on her birthday, but make it gluten-free please.

Although my colour choices don’t fit the name of the block, I picked this for Vicki because I know she’s been to France. Perhaps she saw the wonderful displays of macaroons in all different flavours and colours. Maybe she even sampled a few!
