It is thanks to the magic of Facebook that I was able to reconnect with Diane’s son, Ryan. Of course I was sneaking peeks at what he might be doing when I checked in with his sister, Michelle, but I was thrilled to see a friend request from him a few weeks ago.
In spite of everything that isn’t good about Facebook, thanks to it I’ve connected with many “lost” friends over the years.

You’ve heard the saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!”. There is another one that also suits this card, “When life gives you scraps, make a quilt!”
The pink and the green half-square triangles were extras from a project. I had to dig to find yellow for the lemon but there was some hidden in a bin with an unfinished project.

This card is for Dylan B (Burton), as opposed to Dylan A (Atkinson).
I love Dresden plates and will make them any chance I get. The method used for this card is the one I used for the projects I made in France. I didn’t want to spend time going around the small circles with an appliqué stitch so I stitched beads into the centres.

It’s a simple card and a simple wish for Michelle – that she enjoy her birthday.
I used one of my fancy stitches down the centre cross with a bit of meandering on the rest of the card.
