I’m always interested in hearing about the collection of animals the Nivons keep on their farm. I’ve not heard anyone mention rabbits though so I picked this card for Brayden just in case he hadn’t thought of raising rabbits.

When I saw this pattern in one of my blogs I immediately marked it for Tynan. It was designed by an engineer and it celebrates Pi Day (March 14th). It has taken me too long to get the card finished and off to Tynan but I hope he will celebrate many more Pi Days in his new home.

This is the largest card I’ve made in awhile, finishing at 11.5″ x 12″.

I made this entire card at the Guild’s Spring Retreat. I enjoy having a machine that will take me all the way from piecing to quilting. I often do my appliqué and then quilt the background but in this case I quilted the background and then added the appliqué on top. It’s a method I will use again.

I don’t know whether or not Barb is a seamstress but the designer of this block says she is constantly stitching something.  And even if Barb doesn’t sew, who doesn’t like a splash of colour early in the Spring?

Rick’s (and Christy’s) property has a lot of sheds and buildings on it, many of which are in disrepair. There are, however, two A-frame buildings in the back yard that I think would be perfect to keep chickens in.
