I’ve gone back to quilting cards, unless my spirit takes me elsewhere. I still have a few calendar blocks that are the perfect size so I’ll draw on those for the next while.

Kathryn’s birthday is usually the first time I try out the date for the new year.

Kathryn picked this gnome fabric to cover the tri-fold screen that Dad made.

When I saw this gnome table topper pattern at the Saskatoon Quilt Show I knew I’d make it for her.

It was originally planned for Christmas but I decided on something else (the pillowcase) so it had to be for her birthday.

I made an error in judgement when I was trying to change the colours on the pattern so I had to find a way to recover from it. I’m happy with how it turned out.

No, I didn’t forget a card for her.

I really like the colours in these cards. I’ll have to dig around and see if I have more of them if I hope to make my remaining blocks into “something”.
