Happy Birthday Asher

April 7, 2026

Lidia (from Little Handfuls of Scraps by Edyta Sitar)

This is the first year I’ve sent Asher’s card anywhere other than “home”. I had no idea how long it would take to get to Edmonton and, with the Easter holidays, I’m afraid his card will also be late.

Because I was so short on time for card making I pulled one of my small projects off my display. I’m sure in his new apartment there will be room for it somewhere.

Happy Birthday Gavin

Chicago Geese (April 4 from Quilter’s Block-a-Day Calendar)

It is only fitting that I’m late posting Gavin’s card. As I write this his card is also late getting to him.

It seldom works this way when I’m doing blocks from my calendar but this year it worked out just right.

Congratulations Alex

Alex’s graduation ceremonies aren’t until June but he was looking to be fashionable for the big day so I contributed to his wardrobe. And doesn’t he look amazing?

Alex already has two scholarships and has been accepted into more than one university. No matter what he decides to do, or where he decides to go, I am very proud of his accomplishments.

Happy Birthday Dylan

There are only a few 6″ blocks left on my Block-a-Day calendar. The pattern was called Shamrocks but it used hearts rather than shamrocks so I switched out the appliqué. It’s been a long time since I made anything to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
