I’m in self-isolation but the one thing I do go out for is a walk to the mailbox. Fortunately I was able to order Gavin’s gift online so his card can get out on time.

This was a bonus block from the Splendid Sampler series.

This block had to go to someone who sews; I guess I was waiting for Dorothy’s birthday so I could use it.

Usually I can drop my cards in the mailbox without going out to the post office but since I included a small gift for Dorothy it needs to be weighed. For now, it is safe in a bag in the hall until I venture out into the public.

There is nothing to connect this card to Dylan except that it was one of the few blocks I have left in the Splendid Sampler book and I’m trying to get all of them done this month.

Dylan’s card and gift are sitting in the hall waiting for a time I feel safe going out into the public. Most year’s I simply purchase a gift card and tuck it in with his “card” – I know the amount of postage I need that way. For whatever reason this year I decided to purchase an actual item so his gift will be late.

And to make it even more awkward the gift I bought is somewhat seasonal so I may end up returning it anyway (depending on how long this isolation lasts).

It is getting harder and harder to associate the remaining Splendid Sampler blocks with the individual receiving them. Michelle spent some of her life in Edmonton so she gets the Wild Rose!
