Scarves

Drop Stitch Scarf

I bought the yarn this summer when we made a trip to Nanaimo and I was lucky enough to spend over an hour wandering the aisles at Michaels. The pattern that came with the yarn looked complicated and, since I was travelling, I wanted something simple. This is a Drop Stitch Scarf that I’ve knit many times before.

Feather & Fan Scarf

This is the same yarn as the knitted scarf – the photos were taken at different times so the colours are a bit off (in both photos). This one is crocheted and I followed the pattern given for the yarn. The pattern was for the US and when I adapted the stitches for Canadian ones the yarn ran out before I was able to get a border on it. I’ll try the pattern again with a larger ball of yarn.

Another Shawl

I also made this shawl in navy. I really like the pattern and it was quite simple to follow. I have other yarns that might work well with this pattern.

I’ll offer it for sale and if it doesn’t sell I’ll donate it to the Salvation Army for their Christmas hampers.

It’s a Wrap

I loved this skein of yarn – both the colours and the knitting pattern that came with it. The finished product – not so much.

I could hardly wait to get to the first colour change. Rather than a gradual move from one colour to the other the shades were just knotted together.

The pattern was interesting in the beginning but rather boring by the time it was finished.

I’m not sure I like the asymmetrical look of the shawl, but it was always intended as a donation so I don’t have to think about how to wrap and wear it.
