Before I tackled my block of the day this morning I finished my April UFO. I only had three seams left so I counted it as an April finish. My May UFO Challenge is a medallion mystery quilt; I haven’t dug it out yet but it seems to me that it was very close to being done.

Since I’m still working on the latest clue for my Guild mystery I’ll be working on that for the rest of the afternoon. I had planned on cleaning and oiling my machines, changing needles and the blade in my cutter and doing some general clean-up but I suspect that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Today is the last day to work on my April UFO Challenge and I want to get it done so badly. I won’t finish it this afternoon but I will get it done tomorrow. Not the quilting part but I’ll have the top ready to take to Texada when I’m able to work over there again.

Am I early for Christmas 2020 or late for Christmas 2018?

Are the days getting shorter? It seems like there is never enough time in the day to get everything done that I’d like to. Today was a mixture of accounting and cards – and I made better progress on the cards than on the accounting.

Although Pat has wound down his incorporated business he is operating as a sole proprietor. Sadly, until the accountant told us earlier in the month, I didn’t realize that I was still supposed to be tracking his business income and expenses. It took some time for Pat to sort it all out between a couple of credit cards and a couple of bank accounts but a few days ago he was able to pass me everything I needed.

I got started last evening with a plan I thought would work. It didn’t so I started this morning with a new plan and it worked with the exception that I started the business in September 2020 rather than September 2019, forgetting that taxes are always a year behind. I managed to get a business up and running that I was able to make entries into. I think (fingers crossed) that it will be smooth sailing from now on.

Thank goodness the deadline has been extended.

Today’s block was pretty easy and I didn’t make any mistakes on it so it went quickly. I had enough time to make a second mask for Pat before the mystery clue arrived in my mail. That clue has taken the rest of my day and I’m still not finished. I’ll continue to work at it until supper.

Pat has an online meeting this evening and I have some accounting work that is screaming “Get me done!” so that’s what I’ll be doing.
