Brody spends a lot of his time in the water playing Water Polo so this card seemed appropriate.

And yes, there is something odd about that shell but I didn’t see my error until it was too late to fix.

I know Peggy is both a stitcher and a gardener so the block was perfect for her.

I think this is my favourite embroidered card in the series. I learned a few things doing it that I’ll do differently next time.

I have often made cards with flowers for Wendy’s birthday. Although perhaps not as flowery, I think this one fits in with the theme.

With the exception of the quilting and one side of the binding this card is completely hand stitched. I did a very similar card last year for Laurie, but I cheated and used some larger hexagons that I had from another project. When I realized this was a completely different pattern I decided to make the card as instructed by the designer. I took my colour inspiration from the Colour Wheel I made in France.

I’m not sure why the block is called The Inchy Hexagon Club as each side of those small pieces is just half-an-inch.
