Elizabeth fights very hard with a squirrel to keep her flowers blooming. She has a colourful garden in the front of her house (the nicest on the block). She extended her rose garden this year and has included some vegetables in the beds.

Since she works so hard to grow flowers I wanted to give her a flower basket that she didn’t have to do any work to keep it blooming.

Sawyer’s star is definitely sparkling this year as he graduated as Corporal Semenoff last month and began working full time. He waited a long time for this opportunity and he made the most of it when he got the chance.

I haven’t taken a walk or a drive past Cranberry Lake lately but if it isn’t covered with water lilies already it soon will be. Although this block is called Lotus on Pond, it reminds me of the water lilies.

Growing up Ken’s birthday was associated with seeding and grad – would Dad have to stop seeding in order to attend the ceremonies. Although I still think of seeding and grad, these days I’m more likely to be admiring the lilacs in blossom.
