I wish I could add the name of this particular block; I picked it from my bin of pre-made card blocks. I know I spent a lot of time going through both book one and two to find the name but I didn’t write it down (at least not where I can access it from Texada).
It’s paper-pieced for sure and I think I did a pretty good job of picking the colours. So many of those fabrics are ones I wish I had more of.

When I was picking a card for Laurie from my already prepared blocks this is the only one I thought I could associate with him. Because they are planning a move I thought a new house might be appropriate. I’m not sure what I’ll do next year when he is actually getting ready to move into their new home.
I don’t think this is one of the Splendid Sampler blocks but I couldn’t tell you where it did come from.

I’m sure somebody, someday will throw Alex a ticker tape parade. Will it be because he just won the Brier or will it be a PGA tournament? Or it could be something completely different but that boy is going to go places!

September was another block in my Calendar series that I wasn’t happy with so I went back to the same designer as I picked for August. This block was much easier to put together and the results are much better.
