I didn’t piece this but I think it was someone who participated in one of Carol’s Summer Mysteries (or Saskatchewan Mystery as many in the group call it).
I did the quilting on my machine on Texada. It worked well and I’ll use it again for quilting if we spend a length of time over there and the quilting is simple.
Whoever made this did a great job of using scraps but still coming out with a beautiful design.
This project truly lived up to the theme of a handful of scraps. The quarter-square triangles are the cut corners from a recently completed quilt top. I made half-square triangles with them and then turned them into quarter-squares.
The sashing and cornerstones came from my 1.5″ scrap bin that I’ve been sorting through. The half-square triangles on the sides came from some cut corners that my friend Gail gave me.
I had to cut a couple of strips of yardage for the binding.
Before I started my chicken embroidery project I thought I should try some wool felt embroidery but on a smaller scale. I purchased a set of three “Wee Things” when Stacia, Deloise and I went to Houston.
These berries have been done since 2023. When I went to the website to see how I had titled the post I couldn’t find it. I found photos in my app, but no posts.
The first day of my tree embroidery class I needed something to work on so I pulled out the fall version of my “Wee Things”. On my birthday (for me the official start of fall), this will replace the strawberries on the stand.
I have one more “Wee Thing” left. Hopefully I’ll get to it by the time winter comes.

It’s a good thing I have a few cards at-the-ready as I am late with Tracie’s card.
I wish I had kept the Leisure Arts leaflet with that has the flower patterns so I could identify this flower.
