Scrappy Day

Saturday, June 6, 2020 (Day 82)

Crow’s Nest

It’s Saturday so I did exactly what was scheduled – I dealt with scraps. My daily block is scrappier than I would normally make it but I had the half-square triangles already made (from previous scraps), as well as those two-patches. All that needed to be cut were the borders.

From those scraps I moved on to auditioning my pinwheels for the next rows on my scrappy quilt. Before I squared them up I added border rows to the previous two rows of pinwheels. I thought I might have to purchase fabric for the sashing between the rows but I found some that will work just fine. The next two rows of pinwheels are squared up and matched so they will be my leaders and enders for next week.

I finished off the day but cutting up a few of the fabric scraps that were laying on my cutting table. I still have some left to do but I’m tired and I know they will still be there next week when I have another scrappy day planned.
