I started this website while working in the Information Technology field. Knowing how to create and work with websites seemed like a skill I should acquire. I gave some thought to what I wanted my site to contain and I decided I would focus it on my craft projects. I knew I wanted it to be content-rich and that I wanted to update it on a regular basis. I was surprised that I didn’t really need to learn any new programming language. There are some beautiful templates available, many of them free, that can be manipulated to “make it your own”. This is the third version of my site, and it probably won’t be my last.

I’ve been crafting since I earned my knitting badge in Brownies – knitting, crocheting, crewel embroidery, cross-stitching, sewing, and now quilting. My craft room is stuffed to the rafters with wool and other crafting materials – some inherited and some that I, at some time or another, absolutely had to have. There are also many unfinished projects waiting their turn in the spotlight.

As my site developed I expanded it to include movie and book reviews. I live a distance from my grandchildren, and when they were little I wanted them to hear my voice even if they couldn’t see me. I started recording stories and saving them as MP3 files. Some of those stories have also made it to the site.

When I retired and relocated to the Sunshine Coast I started a Journal so that family and friends could share my experiences. And now that I have retired, I have more time to indulge in my favorite pastimes. I’ll share them  with you here.
