I have a new plan for my cards as I work my way through the Splendid Sampler 2. When the book came out there was an online sew-along with one or two blocks released each week. I took note of the blocks each week, put the numbers into a tea tin, and now that I’m ready to start the book I’m pulling the numbers from the tin, after I have given it a good shake.

I’ll still try to find a way to connect the card to the recipient and in this case it worked out well. I’m hoping that when all “this” is over Brian can make a trip back to the Coast (and the block even comes with a cake).
