The Christmas projects won in the battle of “what to do”. I have another project about half finished. That leaves one more project to cut and then I can start on that baby blanket. It turned out that choosing the Christmas project was a good thing. Three of the ladies at the bee had their granddaughters quilting with them, and two of them were making baby blankets. I think I could have kept up with one of them (she didn’t arrive until after eleven), but the other finished her flimsy by the end of the day! I’d like to say my pattern is more complicated, but I’m not sure it is!
I had a call from the BOND office and I’m going to sign up for a Food Safe course. We’ve been trying for over a year to find a course and a date that worked for me but it seemed when the course was running I was out of town. There were other course options but they were more expensive and, since BOND is paying, they wanted this particular one. Apparently it is an intensive one day class with a test at the end – I hope I’m up to the challenge!
Pat is off to the movie tonight but I wasn’t interested. I’m going to get at some hand stitching. I took everything I needed to finish one of my projects across to Comox with me on the weekend and ended up not making a single stitch. I have to keep reminding myself that once the piecing and quilting is done there is still work to do!
