This is one of the blocks from an Advent calendar pattern which was one of the first quilting patterns I purchased. Stacia and Deloise warned me that the small pieces, even though they were paper-pieced, would be difficult. They knew what they were talking about!

It took me a couple of attempts, but I eventually was successful. After completing one block I’m not so nervous about starting the calendar. In fact I’ve saved all the tiniest pieces of my Christmas scrap fabric.
