It was interesting at the beginning of each chapter to learn about the mating relationships of different birds and animals. It was fun to watch for that specific bird or animal to show up in the chapter I was reading. What was less interesting was reading about the relationships of the four main characters – a mother and her three adult daughters.

Peggy and I were friends before I even remember being friends, thanks to the friendship of our parents. We lost touch for a few years but I’ve been so happy to have reconnected with her since our move to Powell River. We don’t see each other often enough (because we both have busy lives) but we enjoy each other’s company when we do get together.

Wendy’s card is from The Splendid Sampler series. It is called Focal Point which my dictionary says means “the center of interest or activity”.
As Wendy celebrates her special birthday this year she is with her family in Quesnel, which I know is her focal point when she is at home!
